Veeco Instruments Inc. (VECO) announced today that Sanan Optoelectronics Co. Ltd., the largest LED manufacturer in China, has placed a multi-tool order for Veeco’sTurboDisc® MaxBright® M™ Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD) Systems in the third quarter of 2013. The multi-reactor systems will be used to ramp production of LEDs in their Xiamen, China fab for applications including backlighting and general illumination.
